The sad truth of it is, summer is gone and winter is coming…..

Flurry Fall

Hush, let it fall,
Don’t disturb its peace and tranquility.
It falls with grace,
at its own pace.

It creeps upon our world,
Like a silent shadow.
Pure in colour,
But with the sun it gets smaller.

One day it’s there,
And the next it’s gone.
Its beauty is at first a trick,
But then it becomes as hard as a brick.

It is soft as it falls,
But so much is so heavy.
Then when a harsh wind blows,
It becomes a flurry of madness.

Like rush hour traffic,
It becomes ecstatic.
Whipping around every corner,
People retreat for safety.

It enjoys seeing everyone hide,
as it stays outside.
Then the wind passes,
And the people come out again.

Engulfing the ground,
without a sound.
Things are lost from sight,
for who knows how long.

It makes no sound,
as it plummets down.
So innocent and small,
It becomes a great burden.

Lining everything with slick,
Is one of its tricks.
Roads become a hazard,
And drivers are wary.

But the sun comes to their rescue,
So quick, with a vibrant hue.

Some are happy and some are sad,
But they wait for tomorrow.
Its time has ended for now,
But when it comes back many will say wow

So hush, let it fall,
Don’t disturb its peace and tranquility.
It falls with grace,
At its own pace.

It creeps upon our world,
Like a silent shadow.
Pure in colour,
With dust it gets duller

So hush and just let it fall.
